Los Angeles
Los Angeles is a big city in the United States of America and it is considered to be the capital of entertainment, of the entire world. The film industry blooms in Los Angeles and we should not forget that the famous area of Hollywood is located there, filled with theatres and production studios. How to get there
From Greece and Cyprus there are not direct flights to Los Angeles, the best option is a connecting flight through a European capital or through New York. There are 5 airports in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles International
Airport, Bob Hope Airport, Ontario Airport, John Wayne Airport and Long Beach Airport.
They are all modern and fully equipped with services and facilities. Apart from Los
Angeles International Airport that facilitates most international flights the other
4 mainly serve domestic flights. Lately Ontario Airport is beginning to have the
infrastructure for international flights and maybe it will become a very busy airport
in the next years.
Los Angeles International Airport (IATA: LAX)
Los Angeles International Airport is
located 24 kilometres from Los Angeles, California and it is one of the busiest airports
of the world. It serves innumerable international and domestic flights on a daily
basis and it has 9 terminals. At the airports premises there are many restaurants,
cafeterias, bars, shops, ATM machines, storage rooms for luggage, information desks,
travel agencies and of course ticket desks for flight reservations. The transfer
from the airport to the centre of the city is easily and comfortably done via public
transport that has regular schedules.
Bus
The airport’s terminals are connected via a free shuttle bus (LAX Shuttle & Airline Connections) that
runs a 24 hour service, every 15 minutes and their stop is outside every terminal.

Taxis are always available outside
the airport’s terminals. Keep in mind though that the official taxis must have the
legal seal of the Ministry of Transport. The journey by taxi to the centre of the
city lasts 30 minutes, depending on the traffic, and it can cost $35.
