International Airport Ngurah Rai - Denpasar (IATA: DPS)
The international Airport Ngurah Rai - Denpasar, which is the third in size airport of Indonesia, is located 15 kilometres outside the capital of Bali, Denpasar. The two terminals of the airport are situated near each other and the distance can be covered on foot. At the airport there are many shops with duty-free items and souvenirs, restaurants, banks, exchange offices, information desks as well as ticket desks for flight tickets. The journey from and to Denpasar’s airport can be done with various means of transport.

Buses – Rent a Car

At Bali’s airport there are plenty of buses as well as some small vehicles, known as bemos, which you can rent in order to be transferred to your final destination. It is of course possible to negotiate the price with the driver or search for another bus or bemo that is much cheaper. They are always some bemos at the airport’s exit, but if you walk towards the gate of the airport you can also find some of them that do not enter the airport and definitely cheaper. The public buses are the cheapest way to travel but it can also be the most tedious way, since they are almost always airlessly full and it takes them a really long time to reach their destination.

Taxi

At the left exit of the airport travelers can find parked taxis, in order to be transferred to their destination. These taxis have standard prices that are listed at the airport’s exit. If again you choose another taxi company you should negotiate the price before you board the vehicle or convince the driver to use a taximetre. Keep in mind that taxis in Bali can be very expensively.
