Amsterdam is the most important cultural city of Holland. The full of channels city, with the innumerable sights and incredible architectural buildings is a real jewel. How to get there

There are direct flights from Greece to Amsterdam only from Athens. From Thessaloniki and other Greek cities there are connecting flights via Athens. From Cyprus there are direct flights from Larnaca with Cyprus Airways. The airlines that carry out flights to Amsterdam are Olympic Air, KLM and Cyprus Airways, more specifically:

When making plans for a holiday trip to Amsterdam it is better to make a reservation as soon as possible in order to find cheaper air tickets. Airport
Amsterdam Airport
– Schiphol is located 9 kilometres outside Amsterdam, that is to say 20 minutes from the city’s center. In Amsterdam’s airport there are many restaurants, cafeterias, banks, shops and of course ticket desks for flight reservations.


Trains
There is a direct train (Intercity) from Amsterdam’s airport to the central train station. There is a train every 10-15 minutes and the journey lasts approximately 20 minutes. The economy ticket costs €3.60, whereas the ticket for 1
st class costs € 5.90. Choose to purchase your ticket from the ticket dispensers in order to avoid the queues and the extra cost at the ticket office. The train station is connected to the airport terminal.


Buses
There are regular bus services from the airport to the center of the city. Buses 197 and 370 depart from the airport from platform A7, at the arrivals building, for the center of the city. The ticket costs €3.60.

Taxi
There are many available taxis outside. The journey to the center of Amsterdam costs more or less €40 and the journey lasts around 20-25 minutes.
